How does Purchase Syncing work?

Talkable subscribes to Shopify orders/create and refunds/create webhooks. When a purchase is placed, Shopify triggers the webhook and Talkable registers the purchase with mapped attributes (subtotal, taxes, shipping, line items, coupon codes, IP).

What happens when a refund is issued?

When a purchase is refunded in Shopify, the refund webhook notifies Talkable, which updates the purchase status. If a full refund is issued on a purchase with a pending referral, the referral is automatically voided.

Does Purchase Syncing conflict with JavaScript integration?

No. JavaScript purchase registration has priority. Purchase Syncing acts as a fallback and reconciliation layer.
